Came in today, as one usually goes inside when the grey autumn outside chases the first gusts of winter through the urban canyons.
It was already dark, dinner done, dogs walked, no reason for hardly anybody to be still outside. I was also looking foreward to the familiar security and warm cosiness where you eventually go to sleep later.
But today was different. With diminishing distance to coming home an urge grew proportionally to go out again – Out into the city, to new previously unfamiliar places, among folks I’ve never met before – Carried by a feeling of lightness, a certainty that someone was thinking positively of me that very moment. I was certain that today was yesterday.
